I have an old hammerhead that my father gave me. It was his father's and his father's before. The striking surface isn't as flat as it once was, and getting it to fit securely on a standard handle can be tricky, but it is one of the most prized possessions in my woodshop. I swear it drives nails straighter than a new hammer. Somehow knowing that it was handed down to me makes it better.
